Xijin is an industrial designer & design educator, with over 10 years of progressive industry experience.

Growing up in China, Xijin spent most of her adulthood in the U.S., and partly in Japan. Her life experiences shaped her unique cultural understanding and aesthetic sense.

Fluent in English and Mandarin,  Xijin is a creative professional, focusing on industrial design, user experience design and entrepreneurship.

Her previous experience include Ziba Design, Portland, OR and Ignite USA. Chicago, IL. The brands she collaborated with include: Starbucks, Contigo, HP, Logitech, P&G and many more…

She holds master’s degree of product design from Purdue University, with undergraduate study at Tongji University, Shanghai.

Xijin’s experience also includes teaching courses in design at Purdue University and University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

She holds a number of product design patents in U.S. and is the owner of  Xijin Hiraga Design, LLC & Tapo® brand.
